I can’t even begin to tell you how much I’m loving Dollhouse right now. And it’s not like I can say I don’t know what it is about the show, but I LOVE it because I DO know what it is about the show.
And everyone else.
I know there were some skeptics out there. Heck, even I thought that it’s Friday night timeslot would be the timeslot of doom. I’ve also heard that now that BSG is over, the ratings for Dollhouse MIGHT pick up. I certainly hope so. I’d hate to see another Joss show killed before its time.
But I love Dollhouse. In an interview a few months back, before Dollhouse aired, Joss Whedon had mentioned that in the first 6 episodes, you would be drawn in and would start to get to know the characters, and after that, everything would be fair game, and things would start blowing up. I’m paraphrasing of course.
So, now that six episodes have gone by, I’m getting more excited about each new episode. And I’m about to tell sooo many people I told you so because I was on board from the beginning. It’s a work from Joss, how can it not be great?
What I’m finding is that as much as I know it’s from the mind of Joss Whedon, it lacks a certain humor that is inherent in everything he writes. Perhaps, as the show continues to progress, there will be more little things to pick up on.
But, whatever. I’ll watch until there’s nothing left to watch. Yup. I’m dedicated.
The story lines keep getting better. The action keeps getting better. And how can you not fall in love with the innocence of the “actives”?
Even A said it was awesome. And he’s been a skeptic since the beginning.
I don’t care. I love Joss. And I love Eliza. And I love that they are working togther. And I love the show. So I’m going to keep watching.
