Semi-Live Blog at VP Debate

Posted by: TV Slut on: October 3, 2008

Note:  I watched the entire 90-minute debate, but only blogged “live” the first half (45 minutes) of it.

Before the debate gets started, I just wanted to take a moment to relax and figure out again why this is a 3-ring circus… I guess I’ll never know.
A few things I do want to address once the [...]

I watch enough TV, I don’t need to watch that show

Posted by: TV Slut on: September 30, 2008

And you should know by now, gentle readers, that I’m talking about Fringe.
Honestly, I tried.  I’m a FOX girl.  My internal default setting is FOX.  I’m loyal to the station, and I love the dramas.  And it’s home to House, Bones and Prison Break.
I tried.  I gave it 3 episodes.  A real chance.  But it just [...]

Fringe Encore

Posted by: TV Slut on: September 15, 2008

As expected, Fringe aired the pilot episode a second time, Sunday night.
I’m still a little skeptical about it, but it has the potential to be a really awesome show.
Things that concerned me:

Well, for starters, it’s VERY X-files reminiscent.  Which could be either good or bad.  I’m only hoping that there won’t be aliens and ghosts [...]

Fringe Series Opener

Posted by: TV Slut on: September 10, 2008

Consider me still skeptical.  And confused.
And the next person who tells me it was like the X-files, I’m gonna flip.  Even though it kinda was.
OH!  And it’s Boston-based!  Which is awesome because that’s where I am!
So, I watched the series opener of Fringe last night on the edge of my seat.  Because it was good.  [...]

Monday, Monday

Posted by: TV Slut on: September 8, 2008

… I bet you can hear the song playing in your head right now.  Go ahead.  I’ll let you finish listening to it.  I can wait.
Um, nevermind.  I don’t wanna wait… for our lives to be over.
Apparently, my internal iPod (the one in my head) is on shuffle.  It’s pretty funny, actually.  Especially since I’m [...]

Bones Season 4 Premiere

Posted by: TV Slut on: September 4, 2008

I have to say, I’m enjoying FOX giving me the shows I like in 2 hour increments.  It suits the upcoming season.  Now, there was nothing SPECIAL about the premiere last night, other than it’s 2-hour running time.
Basically, it went like this:
Season four begins all the way in England, with Booth speaking at Scotland Yard [...]

Let’s see what’s happening in Sunnydale

Posted by: TV Slut on: June 18, 2008

First up, the new FOX fall drama Fringe has allegedly been leaked on a bit torrent site.  As it is one of FOX’s most anticipated fall shows, this comes as no surprise. Now, I haven’t looked myself.  I’d like to save myself for the fall premiere.  Call me old fashioned.  And I will try to [...]

FOX revolutionsizes TV watching…with less commercials?

Posted by: TV Slut on: May 19, 2008

Um…. ok.  Is anyone else confused by this?  And didn’t NBC and ABC do this with the season premieres of Lost and Heroes?
According  to the Hollywood Reporter, FOX has plans to dramatically limit the commercial interuptions advertisements in order to keep viewers away from their remotes.  And they plan to start with Dollhouse and the new 90210spinoff.  [...]

What I watched last night…

Posted by: TV Slut on: April 30, 2008

Literally…nothing on actual TV.  I watched old episodes of Buffy and I’m sure there was an episode of the Simpsons, and a couple of the Office in there somewhere.  But for the bulk, I did not watch actual TV.
And it’s a shame, too.  As I’m watching the news getting ready for work this morning, they [...]

Radio Commercials for FOX

Posted by: TV Slut on: April 28, 2008

I’m not sure how many people have heard these.  I’m almost positive they started during the Fall season, to promote new shows and perhaps bring viewers back.  But I still think they are random and crazy, and a little bit funny.
They basically go like this: “This is (insert name here) of the (anti-Fox association).  Please [...]

Shameless TV Quotes

You know who is confused? Bimbos. They’re easily confused. It’s one of the thousand little things I love about them. I love their vacant, trusting stares; their sluggish, unencumbered minds; their unresolved daddy issues. I love them Lily, and they love me. Bimbos have always been there for me, through thick and thin—mostly thin. B-man don’t do thick crust, what up! -- Barney, "Do I Know You?"
