Writer’s Strike

Shhh!  I’m supposed to be doing actual work.  But there is not much actual work to be doing, as the end of the year is fast approaching.

But that doesn’t mean we still shouldn’t support the Writer’s Strike.  Just because the year is over, doesn’t mean the Strike is.  Check out these links to support the strike.

18 Memorable TV Theme Songs

December 27, 2007 Kerri with a "K" 1 comment

Since there isn’t going ot be much in the realm of “new television” for awhile, I’ve decided to post some lists that are TV-specific for your entertainment, as well as my own.

I found this list while perusing the How Stuff Works website, but I didn’t include the descriptions of each, which I found to be clever.  Check them out here.

1. “Where Everybody Knows Your Name” – Cheers

2. “Love is All Around” – Mary Tyler Moore

3. “Theme Song from The Brady Bunch” – The Brady Bunch

4. “Ballad of Gilligan’s Isle” – Gilligan’s Island

5. “Meet the Flintstones” – The Flintstones

6. “I’ll Be There For You” – Friends

7. “Thos Were the Days” – All in the Family

8. “Theme from The Addams Family” – The Addams Family

9. “Theme to Happy Days” – Happy Days

10. “Making Our Dreams Come True” – Laverne & Shirley

11. “Sunny Day” – Sesame Street

12. “Theme From the Monkees” – The Monkees

13. “The Fishin’ Hole” – The Andy Griffith Show

14. “The Love Boat” – The Love Boat

15. “Ballad of Jed Clampett” – The Beverly Hillbillies

16. “I Love Lucy” – I Love Lucy

17. “A Little Help From My Friends” – The Wonder Years

18. “Generation” – American Dreams (and coincidentally, the only song I didn’t know out of my entire list)

Now, I realize that most of this list is of old classics.  Some newer shows that I recognize immediately (and you, gentle readers, might remember them as well) include The Sopranos, House, Buffy, How I Met Your Mother, The Office, Sex and the City, The Simpsons, Family Guy, and I’m sure there are so many more.
