Week 1 of Fall Premieres

Well, as you might have noticed, I didn’t post anything on the Emmys from Sunday night. I did watch the Emmys, but it just didn’t feel necessary to get into something I just didn’t enjoy. I really felt like some shows *cough cough* Heroes *cough cough* didn’t get enough recognition as they should have. I also felt that it was very highly mini-series driven. Now, I don’t know if that’s something that’s been pretty typical in the past, but I simply didn’t enjoy watching those parts.

But this week started the new Fall Season, and lord knows, my poor DVR is going to die before I get down with next weeks premiere episodes. First up, Prison Break. Emotionally and physicallty, I don’t know that I can withstand another suspenseful season of quick cuts to commercials and nonstop action that frustrates me because I have to wait another week to see what happens. With that said, I really was a little disappointed with the supsense factor in the premiere episode. It was more bloody, and two people actually died in the episode. However, the season arc was set up as being Michael being in Panama for one reason: to break someone out. It’s been done. I do wonder, however, who may be behind this mission. And that begs the question: did this season REALLY need to happen?
In my opinion, they escaped from Fox River, successfully. Lincoln was exonerated, that should have been it. AND it was only supposed to run for one season, they just keep renewing the contract. From here, the only real place the show can go is Michael being initiated into the group that’s been messing with him and Linc since day one. And that might be boring. I don’t know. I’m giving it a chance simply because of past experiences have made the show enjoyable, even though I nearly had a heart attack every week from waiting.

Well, I did happen to catch the premiere of K-Ville, even though I’ve been telling myself for weeks that I wasn’t going to watch it. It was okay. I AM curious to see where it’s going to go. Some story lines are just not meant to go anywhere.

Week 2 is going to jam packed full of more premieres to watch. I think I might die. I’m not fully committed to any new shows as of yet. I guess this week will determine which shows I’ll commit to. Wish me luck, gentle readers.
