Top 7 Episodes from shows I love

Now these are not going to be in any particular order.  Although I am biased to certain episodes and they may rank higher than others.  But for the purposes of creating this list, I’m putting my biases aside and I’m ready to dig deep.

 1.  “It’s the end of the World” and “As we know it”  Grey’s Anatomy Season 2

An explosive case arrives at the O.R. that might endanger all the lives of the people working there, which leads Dr. Burke to declare a “Code Black” for the hospital. Bailey worries where her husband is as she is in labor. Also Izzie and Alex may be creating some heat.
Derek is still operating when he finds out about Meredith’s current situation. Meredith is freaking out about her situation. Webber and Bailey are dealing with medical health issues. Cristina and Izzie have their own issues to deal with because of Meredith’s situation. Addison freaks out when George tries to find a solution to Bailey’s impromtu postponement. Overall, Seattle Grace Hospital is still under code black and the situation is getting worse.

As a rule, I don’t like cliffhangers and double episodes in my personal viewing life.  Yes, I love the drama and the suspense.  But it’s the whole not-knowing feeling that really starts to take a toll on your ability to be able to enjoy a suspenseful drama.  However, it’s the cliffhangers and double episodes that really make a show great, and they typically end up being the better episodes.

With all that said, I really enjoyed this two part episode for all that drama and edge of your seat action.  With the threat of a bomb inside an OR patient, everyone is just so on edge and really begining to understand that life is short, and not all about surgeries.  Izzie finally gets Alex to sleep with her in the doctor’s rest area.  Meredith gets her sign that this is where she needs to be.  McDreamy, however is still torn between his wife and Meredith, which is made obvious when he rushes through the hospital to find out of Meredith is okay after the bomb incident.

I can’t really pick my favorite moments of the episodes because everything literally left me sitting on the edge of my seat and half in tears.  Bailey being in labor and her husband being in the OR because of a car accident was really very emotional.  What made it even more so was George taking charge and speaking to Bailey’s rational side and really just being there for her.  The chemistry between Dr. Burke and Dr. Shephard was fantastic.  They were both the only two doctors left in ORs trying to save lives without anyone getting hurt.  It was a fantastic and suspenseful moment watching the elevator, then watching the two walk out of it together and exhausted, but satisfied that they were able to save lives.
