The Price is….Right?
Perhaps not anymore. I was shocked and appalled when I heard news of Rosie O’Donnell taking over the highly respected Bob Barker’s position as the host of The Price is Right.
I would never watch the show with another host, let alone with Rosie O’Donnell. It’s pure insanity. Who cares if she’s gay and pissed off people at The View. I won’t watch the show. I feel she’s gotten loud and abrasive in a much more rudesque way than she’s ever been before. She says she voicing her opinion, but she’s just pissing people off.
Whomever replaces a legend like Bob Barker had better be good, because, honestly, it just won’t be the same. 35 years of The Price is Right and Bob Barker doesn’t look a day over 55 if anything. I think the show should just not dig in it’s heels and accept defeat gracefully. It’s not really like The Tonight Show or Late Night with David Letterman, where the fate was determined after Johnny Carson.
Bob Barker mentioned to the Associated Press on Wednesday that he was not making a ROSIE ENDORSEMENT, but simply stating that she along with others will do well in his role. Thank you, Bob, for making that clear.
And apparently Rosie plans on meeting with the shows producers early next week. I am not pleased. And I just won’t watch the show. Okay, it’s not just that Rosie is interested. I wouldn’t watch the show with ANY new host. I don’t hate Rosie, I just think that at this point in her life she’s really REALLY annoying in a Paris Hilton sort of way.
Okay! That’s enough, Rant Girl! (my inner rant girl frequently needs to be tamed…)
