Sopranos Memorial Day Marathon
Oh yeah. I’m watching it. I didn’t realize how much stuff I didn’t remember while watching the show.
Marathoning the third season of The Sopranos was the plan for A&E for this Memorial Day, and not gonna lie, I’m super excited. It’s good to see Aidriana, and Christopher was just inducted into the Family. He’s a Made Guy now. And now I think I’m watching the episode where Ralphie kills his goomar after she is a bitch and finds out she’s pregnant. This season is just full of surprises.
Junior has cancer. Little Jackie Aprille dies, Richie Aprille is murdered by Janice. Livia dies unexpectedly.
Random tidbit of information that I just found out about Nancy Marchand who played Livia Soprano. She died of emphesyma before her 72nd birthday and as a result, Livia’s death was written into the third season. What some people may not know is that in the episode where Livia dies, Livia was played by a body double and her voice was spliced and dubbed over with clips from previous episodes, and her face was edited in over the body double.
I’ve been waiting to see that episode for at least 3 months. A customer came into my movie store to rent The Sopranos and we started talking about the new season and how watching the show on dvd is so much better. She then told me about Livia, and ever since, I’ve been waiting to see the actual episode. I kept missing it, and finally I caught it during today’s marathon.
