“Something Good for Almost Everyone”

I’ve decided to blog realtime (or psuedo realtime) about tonites all new episode of 7th Heaven seeing as though I actually remembered to watch it. I’m also curious to know what I’m really thinking while I’m watching tv.

8:04 pm Confused by the opening. Eric and Lucy skip through church. It’s almost exciting. I’m feeling anxious about the future of Eric Camden. He described skipping as a “spiritual experience”… but it’s all a dream. 56 minutes until The Sopranos

8:07 pm Colorstay lipstick? In 36 sexy shades? I’m sold.

8:08 pm Preview for Gilmore Girls looks okay. Impending announcement of Logan’s engagement to Rory. Hope she says yes. Would be an excellent way to end the show.

8:09 pm Worried Annie is a good Annie. I thought Eric asked her not to tell anyone…Now Kevin’s here and the two of them are being over-analytical. AND Kevin just mentioned that he’s doing his best to get Lucy pregnant. Isn’t that a little graphic for this type of show???

8:11 pm I hate these kids. Sam and David…they just annoy me. Now Lucy’s bitching at Kevin for lying and being away. HA! Officer Kevin used CSI voice!!! *dead* wicked funny. But Sam and David just annoy me…other than being kids on the show, they do nothing.

8:13 pm Eric? Intoxicated? Perhaps the heart problems have cleared up…

8:14 pm More commercials. Maybe I should be taking data on them. See what’s up…On second thought, nevermind. And look…my drink’s empty. Must refill.

8:17 pm It’s really a shame this isn’t filmed in hi-def. The black bars on either side of the screen are starting to get to me. Come on. FOX does it. Almost all the shows (except the cartoons) are broadcast in hi-def…What is the CW waiting for, a formal invitation?

8:19 pm Preview for Veronica Mars. Hmm…Piz and Veronica, huh? Wonder how Logan’s gonna take it…

8:20 pm Sam and David are at Lucy’s but Lucy has already left for the hospital. Guess they’re gonna have to stay with the dogs. Annie is also wondering if Eric is drunk or if he’s taken his medication. So, Eric’s just happy… His body expanded to fit his big fat heart…

8:21 pm Lucy can’t seem to obey the hospital rules. Good ol’ Lucy. The cat seems to be distracted by random noises and the lights from cars. Is it bad that I’m not paying attention to yet another scene with Sam and David?

8:23 pm T-Bone and Ruthie’s first scene. The previews said they might get back together. T-Bone’s foot is in his mouth. He’s not ready for marriage. Well, duh! They’re both only juniors in high school.

8:25 pm While they go through their drama, I’m going to play with the laundry.

8:32 pm Well, that was an exhilarating few minutes in the basement. I returned to find Jane and Margaret excited because they think Rev Camden is cured. Margaret is swooning over…their roomate…whatever his name is…Mack or something.

8:33 pm Ruthie and T-Bone are making up…out…they’re back together. Savanah keeps getting cuter. Plenty of places to make out down at the hospital…funny Officer Kevin.

8:34 pm Eric has to stay over night. Annie’s freaked out. And Lucy finally gets let in the room. Eric is in doing tests, and no one seems to understand why he’s in such a good mood. And still, no one seems to be paying attention to Sam and David. Ha!

8:37 pm A church full of parisheners waiting for good news. Lucky him. But really funny, Sandy was the one to find them in the church. And awesome for her, she’s going to give a sermon or make them sing. Oh, lord…why must they sing…?

8:39 pm A preview for DreamGirls. Good movie. It’s Grease meets That Thing You Do, with a dash of Ray.

8:40 pm Snapple has a new red tea. Wonder what happened to Wendy, the Snapple Lady. I think I remember hearing a few years ago that she was arrested or maybe she was on Celebrity Fit Club or something. Wendy the Snapple Lady rocked. AND what’s cooler was the random tidbits of info they’d put underneath the Snapple Caps. I learned alot from drinking Snapple.

8:43 pm Now I remember why I never watch the CW. There’s never anything good on.

8:44 pm Yet another scene with Sam and David, this time they’re in the hospital. Good news, bad news…everyone’s there. Now, Martin…he’s back in the picture. Another preview showed him declaring his love for Ruthie, who is now back with T-Bone. Ooh, gotta love the intrigue. Martin has way too many issues. And Ruthie has T-Bone’s name tatooed on her back. Who do you think she should be with? Martin’s a muppet.

8:45 pm The moment of truth…Martin cofesses his love for Ruthie. The votes are in, and Martin is still a muppet.

8:47 pm If you could see me, you’d notice a boatload of eye rolling going on. After years of being the little sis, Ruthie is finally a woman in Martin’s eyes. And she walks away, while T-Bone makes Martin aware of his intentions.

8:48 pm Lucy admits that she may be pregnant again. After her miscarriage over the summer, can you blame her for being nervous?

8:49 pm Eric is all out batty… Mike says, “This has got to be the dumbest show on tv.” It wasn’t always that way…

8:52 pm Eric enters his parish to find everyone there waiting for him and clapping. I still don’t get why he’s shocked. I thought everyone was supposed to love him. He ordered pizza, how nice.

8:53 pm Eric’s enlarged heart has disappeared. Officially, everything’s fine. I think it’s a little lame that this show has to go out on a high note. It would’ve been fantastically sad if it had enough nerve to end the show with Eric dying…but then it wouldn’t have been a family show for over ten years if it ended things with a downturn.

8:57 pm Crap…he’s planning on leaving the church…again. It’s not as sad this time. Last time he tried, he had a heart attack.

8:58 pm Family Slumber Party. Lucy and Officer Kevin share their news of the new baby, and the show ends…Previews for next week look like they involve an RV and a road trip.

Well, it’s official. The next time I decide I have enough free time to blog in real time, I’m going to do it with something interesting. I’ve also discovered that I have a short attention span when it comes to tv. That may be good to know in the future.

Scarred

Sunday, Bloody Sunday… Weird movie, actually. Couldn’t get into it. I digress.

To alleviate a bit of boredom during dinner, we watched a new reality show called Scarred on MTV, and holy shit! did it alleviate boredom. Basically it’s a string of horribly crippling accidents that happen to random people, mostly professional skateboarders and BMX riders.

I’m incredibly squeamish, so this is NOT the show for me. Especially over dinner. So these guys (and girls) do some crazy normal stunt and end up getting injured. Bones popping out, blood everywhere, sick kind of injuries.

Seriously…WTF was I thinking when I said, “yeah, sure. Let’s watch this over dinner.”???
