Bon Jovi ROCKS American Idol

Yes, that’s right.  Last night was ROCK NIGHT on American Idol.  And who better to “coach” than Jon Bon Jovi!

I’ve never been more excited to watch American Idol.  And I LOVE Bon Jovi!

So, with it being Rock night…I wasn’t expecting much, seeing as though the former resident rocker was kicked off a few weeks ago.  But Blake pulled it off.  With his version of “You Give Love a Bad Name” he was dubbed THE MOST ORIGINAL of all the contestants in the history of the show.  I totally agree.  Blake has been my favorite since the beginning for that exact reason.  It’s funny because picking such a well known song that no one really wants to see changed was very risky.  Jon Bon Jovi even said he was a little iffy about the attempt, but in the end, the judges praised him, the audience praised him, and Bon Jovi was impressed.

I know I’m lame, but I love this show for things like last night.

PS.  I’m super excited Sanjaya’s gone, as I’m sure the rest of the world is.  Next up: Phil Stacey.

Logan and Rory

…I really just don’t know what to say about Gilmore Girls last night.  In the scene where Logan calls Rory to tell her he’s staying a bit longer, I was half expecting a woman to come up behind him and start making out with him.  Is Logan really the bad guy?  No…he hasn’t been the bad guy for quite some time.  But I still expected it, especially with the way the show’s been going.

So…I was definitely wrong about Logan getting in touch with his “Playboy” roots.  He completely shocked me by asking Lorelai if he could ask Rory to marry him.  Could that have been any cuter?  Lorelai didn’t respond, which was hilarious.

Also, Luke staying in town for the summer may be a good thing.  The blue hat vs. the black hat thing was pretty important to Lorelai.  Maybe this show will end with something good.

I don’t want to kick the dead horse, but the Christopher with Lorelai thing really set the show back.  I’m hoping for a strong ending, but I won’t hold my breath.  At least I can hope for good things with Rory and Logan.

AND they make such a cute couple!

The Wonder Years

While channel surfing late last night, I stumbled upon a television gem: The Wonder Years.  Now, how random can that get?  Pretty random.

I haven’t watched this show in years…I was a toddler when it first aired, so I watched it in repeats in my teens.  Still a relevant show, no doubt.  Seriously, who can’t relate to Kevin Arnold and Winnie Cooper…

What kills me is that Danica McKellar doesn’t seem to age.  Sure, now she has boobs and she looks a little older…but she’ll always look like Winnie Cooper.  Wonder if that’s a curse or something good for her… I’ve seen her in other shows, How I Met Your Mother for one, and I’ve never been able to get past the fact that she’s still supposed to be the innocent crush of Kevin Arnold.

Fred Savage, however is a different story.  I no longer seem to only see him as Kevin.  Perhaps it’s because of his younger brother, Ben, who I became attached to on Boy Meets World, the show I actually grew up watching.
